SIGNS
AND WONDERS ON EARTH
THE
BOW OF THE PROMISED LATTER RAINS
Ancient Via
Maris or Way of the Sea – Bow of the Promised Land – Ancient Highway or Way of
Jesus Upon High and ANCIENT TRADE (CARAVAN) ROUTE between Egypt (Goshen) on the
West (Nokomis to Chandlerville, or the wing of the
dove) and Mesopotamia (on East). The
route between today’s Champaign, IL (on the tail of the dove) and Montgomery
County, Audubon Township and at the midpoint of section 16 & 17 was formerly
known as the Grand Trunk Road and parting southward it was known as the Coastal
Road and Westward toward Chandlerville, it was known
as the Ridge Road. Nokomis is
symbolically located as the arrows rest as the Bow of Promise aimed toward the
Ancient Great Sea (Atlantic Ocean) where the Angel Gabriel’s Arrows defends
Israel’s Beloved Coastlines at elevations 595-600 feet A.M.S.L. The isles of
the seas lay in the Mediterranean Sea along the River of Egypt (today’s IL
River) and northward where this freshwater sea was formed between Mainland
Israel and dividing the Upper and Lower (Goshen) kingdoms of Egypt. Toward the
south lay the Salt Sea as it was called in the Book of Mormon.
The first high roads were those trodden down
under hoofs of innumerable of buffaloes. There are two more major routes one
near today's Dollville (Shelby Co.) and parting to
the LEFT and extending to Cold Spring Twp. Building and across the valley
Southward toward the Corley Ridge Tower and then ENEastward
to the NAVEL, NEST, OR HOLY OF HOLIES and this Ancient Highway was named
"The Kings' Highway". The fourth and final Ancient Highway extends
south of Gate #7 all the "WAY TO THE SEA" or also named the Coastal
Highway and also the direction the bow's arrow woul
point (DUE NORTH TO SOUTH). This Ancient Series of Highways became the inland
trade route of goods received at port to the Ancient Atlantic and ports toward Right (when heading W.) that was the Ancient
Mediterranean extended from the Sangamon-Ilinois
River confluence and eastward to the Sanitation Plant at Decatur.
The Ancient Trade Route was of vital
importance to the Promised Land as a sort of fresh GARDEN DISTRIBUTION CHAIN OR
BACKBONE shaped like a Bow. It began in Egypt (Goshen), and stretched across
the Sinai Peninsula to Aqaba which is where it turned northward along 1400E
from Yantisville (Shelby Co.) toward Sanner Chapel (Macon Co.) and along the western shores of
the Ancient Euphrates (today's Kaskaskia (meaning to search out, search out for
Yahweh) and leading on toward the NE to Amcient
Damascus which was today's YANKEE RIDGE between Mahomet and Champaign.
Numerous ancient states were along the sides
of the Ancient Trade Route and include (from the W): Edom, Moab, Ammon, and
various Aramaean polities depended largely on the King's Highway for trade. The
Highway began in Heliopolis, Egypt (on the bluff overlooking Chandlerville at approx the Radio
Tower along 1600 E @ Shiloh Road) and from there went eastward to Clysma (Mound in Sangamon Co. - Cartwright Twp - approx. 1 1/2 miles NNW of Pleasant Plains), through
the Mitla Pass (Back W. about four miles and there
intersecting The Ridge Route near E. of Ashland) and the Egyptian forts of
Nekhl (Along Thornley
Road between Kern and Hog Barn Road in RD 8 Twp. <Morgan Co.> - which
guarded against attack by sea along today's Indian Creek) and Themed (RD 8 of
Morgan Co. about 2 miles that guarded that ancient waters of today's Mauvaise Terre Creek <N. Fork>) in the Sinai desert
to Eilat (today called Virden and the site of many
ancient wars and numerous artifacts from war on land) and Aqaba (today's Mongomery Co. - Audubon Twp. - Mound near the middle of
Section 16 on the W. side of White Oak Forest). From there the Highway turned
northward through the Arabah (HIGH GROUND and the ridge running (N-S) and into
Section 9 on the North, past Petra (E. side Section 9 and just W. - E27th Road)
and Ma'an (Dairy Barns to near SW of Rosamond, IL
)
to Udruh (Mound 1/2 mile SE of Rosamond, IL), Sela (1 1/2 miles E. of Rosamond, IL), and Shaubak (Cemetery W. of Pana on IL Rte. 16). It passed then
through Kerak (Big Mound U.S. Rte
51 @ 400 N of Christian Co and N. a mile from IL Rte. 16) and Kerak was in the land of Moab (the peninsula southward
between the E. and W. Forks of Beck's Creek E. of Pana and W. of Tower Hill,
IL).
Now back on the Ancient Trade Route from Kerak to Madaba (at Shelby Co. 1580
N @ 675 E in Rural Twp. the Kings' Highway heading SE through Dollville, Tower Hill, and to near Lakewood at WILL HILL
), Rabbah Ammon (the Twin Mounds along the Assumption-Findlay
Blacktop along 1025 N @ 1000 E (mound 1) and 1050 E (mound 2) in Rural Twp. -
Shelby Co.), Gerasa (near 2000 N @ 1400 E in Shelby
Co. - Ridge Twp.), Bozrah
(2 miles ESE of Hervey City 1 1/2 miles N of Dalton City, IL), Damascus (1300 N @ 300 E <IL 105>), and
Tadmor (1600 N @ 1125 E Roads), ending at Resafa (Westernmost End of Yankee Ridge - North of Rising,
IL) on the upper Euphrates.
This ends the
Grand Trunk Route from the Sea at Heliopolis, Egypt (Virginia, IL) on the West
by the way southward of Damascus, Syria on the Eastern END OF THE BOW of the
Promised Land and there began other trade routes like the Mesopotamian,
Arabian, etc. These went toward the Eastern Moundbuilders
cultures of native remnant mound construction renown in IN, OH, and New York.
This was the way Northward to the rock ford near
Utica, IL that was removed for barge traffic on the Illinois River. This was
where the buffalo crossed but went all the way around the Mighty Mississippi in
Northern Minnesota.
The Highway is
referred to in NUM 20:17-21:
Please let us pass through your country. We
will not pass through fields or vineyards, nor will we drink water from wells ; we will go along the King's Highway;
we will not turn aside to the right hand or to the left until we have passed
through your territory.'" Then Edom said to him, "You shall not pass
through my land, lest I come out against you with the sword." So the
children of Israel said to him, "We will go by the Highway, and if I or my
livestock drink any of your water, then I will pay for it; let me only pass
through on foot, nothing more." Then
he said,"You shall not pass through." So
Edom came out against them with many men and with a strong hand. Thus Edom
refused to give Israel passage through his territory; so Israel turned away
from him.
Many of the wars of the Israelites against the
kingdoms of the trans-Jordanian highlands during the period of the Kingdom of
Israel (and its sister-kingdom, the Kingdom of Judah) probably were at least partly over control of
the Highway. The Nabateans used this road as a trade route for luxury goods
such as frankincense and spices from southern Arabia. The Highway has also been
used as an important pilgrimage route
for MID-EAST Christians , as it passed numerous sites important in
Christianity, including Mount Nebo
(White Settlement - Audubon Twp. - Montgomery Co.) and al-Maghtas
("the Baptism Site") at the Jordan River (today's Elliott Creek E. of
Nokomis, IL), where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.
If the name Via Maris was appropriate in the
Age of Time then that name should suffice also to the truly Original Trade
Route, that dated before the early Bronze Age, linking Egypt with the northern
empires of Syria, Anatolia and Mesopotamia. Once one arrived in Damascus they
could go either N., S., or E. into the other Mound Builder Civilizations of OH
and other native remnant confederations living in peace that Ben Franklin
drafted the Constitution of the Colonies of England from. The Via Maris'
earlier name was "Way of the Philistines", a reference to a
passageway through the Philistine Plain, which parted in two Ways in Montgomery
County - Audubon Twp. and near the center of Section 16: (1) toward the Left
(Southward) and along the Mediterranean coast through Megiddo between its
Audubon parting and another parting just N. of 1300N and about halfway between
2100E & 2200E in Witt Twp. - Montg. Co., (2) the
other Audubon parting to the right (W & N.) following an inland route
through the Jezreel Valley (the swamp drained by
dredging the East Fork of Shoal Creek - N. of Nokomis, IL) and Dan (former
Goshen territory). " Via Maris " is Latin
and means "the Way of the Sea". The name is based on a passage from
the Vulgate (the New Testament in Latin translation) from the Gospel according
to Matthew ("Secundum Mattheum"),
chapter 4 verse 15: terra Zabulon et terra Nephthalim via maris trans Iordanen Galilaeae gentium (the
land of Zebulon , and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee
of the Gentiles). The "WAY OF THE SEA" from the Southern tip
of the Sinai Peninsula was at Van Burensburg and also
from the port militarily entrenched straight West of Fillmore and North of Coffeen and travelling North passing through to the land
of Zebulon (in between Hurricane Creek & East Fork of Shoal Creek - Montg. Co. to the Radio Tower at 1850 N @
2300 E in Nokomis Twp.) and the land
of Nephthalim (in between Hurricane and Casesar Creek and extending Southward to Bayle City, IL.
Again from the Radio Tower on Nokomis-Fillmore Blacktop and NE to White
Settlement Community Center in Audobon Twp. and along
2000 N crossing Elliott Creek (Ancient Jordan), by the way of the sea
that led beside the still waters with the Sea of Galilee (harp-shaped lake)
being formed by an Irrigation Dams (severed) that of old was constructed just
W. of 100 E Road in Oconee Twp. of Shelby Co., beyond Jordan (East of
Jordan), Galilee of the Gentiles. There are many, many waters in the
Promised Land now to be openly shared that Yahweh receives the fullness of His
glory FOR HIS CREATED FACIAL DOCUMENT - a smiling GOD LOVES US ALL EQUALLY AS
LONG AS WE SHARE EVERYTHING IN PEACEFUL EQUALITY.
The Ancient
Fertile Crescent was located on the North side of the Bow shape near the center
where it is on an East-West course through the Promised Land's Inland Corridor.
Four Rivers: 1) Kaskaskia,

The number 4
denotes creative works (3+1) and always has reference to the material creation,
as pertaining to the earth, and things iunder the
"Sun" and the things terrestrial or IN or OF THE EARTH like the
Fourth Wonder or Keys to Heaven in the form of the "Sun" (see Cahokia
- City of the Sun). The Fourth Wonders is the subterranean serpent of Heaven
UNDER THE SUN with the Gate atop Holy Zion.
